so high praise for RDJ.. but come November/December.. some random movie from Fox Searchlight or Sony Picture Classics or A24 would come up with some tragic old man family drama and boom ... RDJ misses out that oscar.

Can't tell you how funny and true this is. We shouldn't be surprised when it happens unfortunately.

RDJ is a popular person in Hollywood. If the academy members and SAG like this movie he has a good chance at getting nominated. We have to wait and see what the other performances are like. And most of us haven’t even seen Oppenheimer yet.

Don't know where to put my own reaction but Oppenheimer is fucking incredible and easily one of Nolan's best.
