Hard to predict how much it will end up making in China since its more drama than an action film (even Barbie has only managed to make $34m, then again MI7 only managed $47m). Dunkirk managed to make $50m over there so I guess that could be use as the baseline (which would still be crazy good since the movie will end up at $850m+ :shock: )

Really makes you wonder if going Pg-13 might have help push the film to a 1b :think:

I like to imagine the following parallel scenarios playing out:

The head of Warner of Bros explaining his plan to financially sabotage Nolan to a disillusioned Denis Vilenueve followed by its subsequent failure in the same manner that Strauss fails to sink Oppenheimer.

Nolan and the ghost of Stanley Kubrick hanging out at that same mansion they filmed Eyes Wide Shut and Wayne Manor as they discuss the futility of working within the studio system in the same way that Oppenheimer consulted Einstein at Princeton.
