I just really want this movie to dominate at the box office (as much as this kind of film can) so it gives it additional ammunition to hopefully carry it over to the Oscars.MisterXDTV wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2023, 6:45 pmYeah Oppenheimer can really have a strong 90 days window easily maybe even 120...
Nolan doesn't release his movies on home video until December anyway.
No matter how well the film does at the box office, it won't help it at the Oscars
*flashbacks to Dunkirk being the highest-grossing WW2 film of all time and walking away with zero major Oscar wins*

Inception, where the director and editor both got snubbed of nominations in ugly fashion. It was clearly a pretty large accomplishment to put that movie together in general, never mind turning it into a $800+ million grosser at the box office where Roger Ebert famously posted on Twitter about how Inception had turned into a major topic of conversation at dinner parties.

You may be right it might not win any major Oscars but there's a different time and different circumstances for many things to compare it to what happened 6 years ago.
Truly stunning.
If thats domestic only then hot damn. Nolan can truly make a blockbuster out of anything at this rate. Hell he already proved it with Dunkirk.
