those issues all exist but you sound like people that are 5-8 hours in because that's where/when most tend to still struggle with these and not yet "get" the scope and depth of the rest
I mean most of that you either get used to after a while or you see how it works in the scheme of things
So I was leaving the jail and I go outside to get on my horse. The horse is right next to a lawman just chilling there. I pressed triangle to get on, and instead Arthur grabs the dude by the throat and and the whole town is trying to kill me. $20 bounty and the city is on lockdown. Immediately after I just paid an $85 bounty from a story mission.
every time i play this game i get nowhere in the story, because i'm afraid i'm going to miss some vitally important/cool side mission or random encounter
