This will be one of the greatest mysteries of our time: was the aerial shot a reactionary move to hide that extra, or did Mr. Nolan always plan to have the aerial shot there?

Remember in The Dark Knight Rises trailer (that was released in December 2011), the football stadium collapse scene was one long, unbroken take.

But in the final take, it was broken up by overhead shots of the crowd.

Edit: one of the greatest, not the greatest :X

I also don't really get his reasoning with the extra not being one because he was "directed" for a "narrative reason," dafuq does that even mean? You stop being an extra when you have *lines.*
