Now that's a plot twist no one would expect, therefore it's entirely possible with Nolan. Straightforward war drama? Right.

Nomis plays a young Michael Caine, then at the end of the film, Caine is sitting in a leather chair looking into the camera and says thanks for watching. He then proceeds to grab an Oscar from a nearby bookshelf, and gives it to mister Nolan who steps out of the shadows, drinking earl grey out of a big ass mug.
