How did they make miniature model of the ship look bigger on camera?

Forced perspective?

Re the hospital ship, as you see they had some huge full-size or near full-size pieces they used. I don't know how big the complete ship model they sunk was. Maybe they reused the huge model battleship they built at Universal Studios as Falls Lake?

We know they can build some huge models, like this one:

Please stop using the spoilers, it is not necessary anymore. Regarding the sinking hospital ship, it is not a miniature. It is full size, but only a section of the hull. You never see the full sinking ship in frame.
