Dunkirk General Information/Discussion
I'm not defending an orgasm... That's way too much with any type of movie (well, maybe porn ) but documentaries can be great - King of Kong, Dear Zachary, Imposter, Never Sleep Again, Sugar Man, Paradise Lost, The Jinx, Side by Side... so many great documentaries that can make you laugh, scare you, amaze you and educate you.genloovers wrote:How does the thought of a documentary give you an orgasm??????? Documentaries can be good, yes. But they're not orgasm-inducing. Movies that are larger than life and full of spectacle and are ambitious... those are the movies that are orgasmic. Interstellar is an example. Nolan loves making big movies. I doubt he'll ever do a documentary. Maybe when he's a 100 years old and can't walk... Even then I doubt it. Leave the documentaries to the unoriginal unambitious hacks that are already making them.I'm not defending an orgasm... We first learned that Nolan would direct Interstellar on January 9, 2013, almost 6 months after the release of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012. Of course, that was coming off of 3 consecutive summer releases for a movie that would break that pattern and release in the fall. With that in mind, it has now been 6 months since Interstellar came out in November. Do you guys think word on his next project is imminent? Other than the confirmation we got recently that he's started work on his next project, we don't know anything else right? I seem to recall comments that it's an original movie and something he's wanted to do for a long time, but where did that information come from if true?
That info came from a guy on twitter who knows some ppl in Nolan's camp. Recently in Time magazine Nolan said he doesn't quite know what he's doing yet but Im guessing he's been writing plenty of ideas down. I expect an announcement by end of June. Depending on the size of the film I think we can expect a winter 2016 or summer 2017.
