Well that's the good news (I think): Empire released a 'Summer 2017' issue a few weeks ago, with Spider-Man on the cover. So that probably leaves Dunkirk for the July issue. Plus Empire is indeed a UK based magazine, which should be an advantage for Dunkirk.

Duh - I was on my phone and could barely read. I thought it was a place, not a game. At least I managed to post the link correctly.

On an unrelated note, just found this:

Apparently that's the actor himself.

Umm, this is kind of misleading, isn't it??

It implies that we'll see nine planes on screen at once.

I thought it was four maximum (as we have seen in the trailers), no?

It's weird because the Spider-Man issue is titled 'Summer 2017', not 'July 2017' as it should be.

They didn't do a 'Summer 2016' issue last year: https://gb.zinio.com/www/browse/back-is ... /backissue

My guess? It's because their wallets said Spider-Man, but their hearts said Dunkirk, so they said "Why not both?" and put out a special issue to rack in the Spider-Man money, and will put Dunkirk in the standard July issue.

...hopefully. :?

Watch it turn out to be War for the Planet of the Apes or Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
It would not surprise if it is War of the Planet of the Apes. A lot of big movies come out in July this year.

Is there any chance there will be a Michael Cane cameo in the film just for a scene ?

("Caine")

An article about the war command center under Dover Castle claimed Dunkirk filmed there (actually it says the Castle featured in the film - unclear if they filmed inside).

If they did film there, this was a set we did not know about (though it did seem like a possibility to me since they conveniently restored the command center to its WWII appearance not long before Dunkirk started filming).

We have no idea who might be playing any officers there, especially Vice Admiral Bertram Ramsay.

Command center info/pics and this pic of Vice Admiral Ramsay:

The Vice Admiral was brought out of retirement before the outbreak of World War Two and charged with protecting the Straits of Dover, the narrowest part of the English Channel.

Key player: Vice Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsay oversaw the planning of Operation Dynamo - the evacuation of Dunkirk
