On the one hand, I feel the same odd feeling I felt when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker, which included things like, "... Huh?... What?.... Hmm... Wait-really? No way."
And we all know how that turned out.
But on the other hand, this seems like your classic early April Fools joke. Websites like to do this all the time. They post it a few days before April 1st so every website can pick it up and run with it... only for the source of the prank to admit it was a prank on April 1st.
