I feel as though most people are apparently intellectually unable to literally comprehend what I believe to be Interstellar's central thesis because they simply don't, or can't, understand that the tesseract isn't just a scientific possibility, but is actually a core idea of a some pretty crucial scientific /and/ philosophical ideas.

He feels that way because articles like the one he was responding to exist.
What really bothers me is the article appeared here too but they call him CONNOR.....as if the author didn't even know a thing about the film. That's not a typo, that's blatant ignorance, like calling the hero of Die Hard Jim McClane
