i think bane can be better then the joker. bane is scarier then the joker. like a big monster. the joker just wore makeup and didnt care about anything.

I don't think they need to top Heathe to make a better movie. It really comes down to the story / script. But I don't expect TDKR to be Nolan's best film either. 3rd films rarely are the greatest.

Only 3 votes for Inception and 53% for no. I'd say Nolan knows how to spread out greatness though his movies. A lot of people like Memento, a lot for the Prestige and the Dark Knight.

Eish... Nolan's best film? hmmm. Well personally Inception is flawless, I mean that was his epic 10 year old baby. So that will be tough to beat.

But with this trilogy, TDKR can be nothing but as good as BB (which I prefer to TDK), and with all the hype it's getting (excuse my language), it better be fucking awesome.

However, we shouldn't be putting so much pressure on him, I mean thank goodness for Nolan for making Batman cool again.

For me to consider the film categorically better then TDK, it would have to top all of the major criteria, and acting is one huge part... which is going to be tough, if not impossible, to actually top. Heath set the bar fucking high.

I agree-Tom and Anne don't have to top Heath. To be honest his death also added another dimension to the intrigue of his performance- you can't deny that. It also seems like since this harkens back to Bruce Wayne's story, this film is a bit more shouldered on Bale instead of Hardy or Anne. Of course, they all have to bring their best, but just because they couldn't do better than Heath doesn't mean the film itself will suffer.

To be honest his death also added another dimension to the intrigue of his performance- you can't deny that.

His death added a special value and sacredness to his performance, but it didn't make his performance any better then it is.

Are you telling me if Tom is fucking great... but Heath is still better it can't top TDK? TDKR could be better in a bunch of other departments. Acting is a huge part and Tom will most likely kill it. TDKR could be better with ease without having a performance being as good as Heath.
