Exactly. I think "too confusing, impossible to understand, etc..." are valid reasons and can be seen as flaws, but only if the reviewer paid enough attention. If a critic completely lost it for like half an hour or more, he/she needs to see the movie again before assessing it, but if the critic gave the movie his full attention and the movie failed to make sense to him/her in various spots, it's his right to take off stars from its rating.
