Down the line sure. Like 2020ish. He could bring the coolness to Bond, but also tap into the emotional 3 dimensional side that only On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Casino Royale reached. He'd easily be the best director to tackle Bond so I'd expect something extraordinary.

I'd much rather he didn't. He should do more original stuff like Interstellar or Memento. His talents are way too big for a franchise that's been going on so long such as Bond. I love what Nolan did with Batman... but yeah, Batman is a better character in my opinion, so Bond would be him taking a step backwards.

He looks like a Hispanic plumber. Bond needs to be classy. I'd want Cavill to do Bond. Or Matthew Goode. They both have dark features but also come across as classy suave British dudes.

There are plenty of rumours recently in media regarding Bond franchise and it looks like Craig's era is over, he does not want to come back (rumour is he rejected 100 M$ to come back although he's got 5 films in contract), Mendes is over looking for other stories to tell, Internet chose agent Scully as next female Bond, Idris Elba choes himself as first non-british Bond but he has no support, studio execs already talked to some actors (f.e. Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Bell - another rumour), no script yet, no director, distribution is not clear.

So, more less in one year, Nolan is done with Dunkirk, war movie, Nolan who had interest once in directing Bond, spy movie, when the moment is right... If not after Dunkirk than when? :)

There's simply too many marks a Bond movie needs to hit for it being appealing for someone like Nolan. He's not going put his heart and soul into something, that he hasn't complete control over. I don't see why so many of you are interested in seeing Nolan spending precious years of his life on a film that has to have product placement, theme songs etc.
