I have noticed a lot of nods to James Bond in his films. I remember Bruce Wayne walking into the Wayne offices teaching the secretary how to play golf.
Mainly his action scenes though like the skyhook in the dark knight, which was also used in Thunderball.
Also the drop in Hong Kong from the tower reminded me of the one at the beginning of Goldeneye.
Does anyone else know anymore nod’s to James Bond?
I know there are two Batman nod’s before Batman Begins, which is also strange.
In The Dark Knight, The Joker has a blade in his shoe, almost exactly like Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love.
The entire character of Batman seems to be highly similar to James Bond with his use of gadgets and technology. Bruce Wayne is also far more arrogant than past film interpretations which may be another nod to Bond's arrogant and womanizing tendencies. Lucius Fox is much like Q in James Bond, both supply the heroes with gadgets. There are scenes in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight where Batman receives his new gadgets and "tests" them. This is an overt nod to James Bond where Q recurently shows Bond his new gadgets.
Much of Bond's character decelopment in Casino Royale and Batman in The Dark Knight mirror each other. At the end of both movies, both characters have evolved into loners after their failure. They both, in essence, become what they were always meant to be in their respective source materials.
