Yeah he's a lot of style over substance.

Ummm... I think Cameron, Malick, Bay and Spielberg. And Tim Burton, of course!

Yeah didn't think much of Bronson other than Hardy's awesome performance and did not get the hype over Drive.
It needs more NWR if there are some closet NWR haters on this site, if not it's got the right amount of NWR. Because whether or not someone is 'overrated' really depends on each individual view, there's no objectivity in this kind of debate. IMO.

I think Clint is overrated as a director. The only films of his I really like are Unforgiven and Mystic River. He's a great actor, just not the most consistently good director.

Actually MNS's descent has been pretty steady. Unbreakable and Signs were a definite step down from Sixth Sense, and the Village, while not a good movie by any means, was still waaay better than Lady in the Water. The Happening was an abortion and the Last Airbender, by all accounts, was an abortion-suicide. Remarkably steady.

Hard to see someone who sets a new standard for suckage with every new movie as overrated, but SS was a damn good movie. Anyway, now that he's hit rock bottom with Airbender (6% RT), maybe his score will "reset" somehow, and his next movie will be in the 80's. The process will then repeat itself. Using this "logic", his next 2-3 movies might actually be watchable.

And I like PJ, but he is definitely overrated.
