I did. But I should probably rewatch it before posting my thoughts. I was distracted while watching it.

I gave it a try. Couldn't really get interested.

Ok, I re-watched it, and it is decent. I haven't watched the BBC Sherlock (I will very soon though), so I cannot make any comparisons. But I'm sure that the fact that Elementary is a series and not a mini-series, will make viewings seem less brilliant than the BBC version.

But I can say that Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Lui are great together on-screen.

I re-watched it too and I still couldn't get interested in it. I may give it a few more episodes just because of Lucy Lui. But I'm not really expecting anything spectacular.

Anyone hear how it did in the ratings?

I'm really liking this take on Sherlock's character.
An illegal substance addict.
And the writing is decent enough to keep me watching. Jonny Lee Miller seems a great balance between Downey and Cumberbatch's Sherlock.

That's not new.
Almost all modern adaptations (including Guy Ritchie's and BBC's) have referred to Sherlock's cocaine usage.

Feels like a gimmick, sorry.
