Coppola is like Capra, he ends his career remaking his earlier successes, only he doesn't even reshoot, he just reedits. Funny to see Paramount insisting it's the filmmaker's true vision.
Also, don't understand why he wants to change the ten last minutes, they're almost perfect imo. The weakness of the film is that it's not as groundbreaking as Part 2, and that the new characters are not as interesting as Fredo, Sonny, Hagen, Clemenza, Frank and of course Vito. Also no new Rota theme.
