Would love to see a complete cut of 'The Thin Red Line'. I understand most films leave hours of footage on the cutting room floor but reading about who and what was cut from TTRL has always made me anxious to see it.

Bill Pullman, Viggo Mortensen, Gary Oldman, Jason Patric, Martin Sheen, Mickey Rourke, and Billy Bob Thornton all had their parts cut from the film. Brody, Travolta and Clooney amongst others had theirs cut down considerably. Billy Bob Thornton apparently recorded 3 hours of narration. Brody was the original lead of the film with the most dialogue but in the final cut he barely says a word.

If I was Netflix (or similar) I was consider throwing some money at this and maybe creating a cinematic mini-series from the recut footage. With Malick involved of course.
