I love the rivalry between Empire and Total Film.

Eventually Disney will own everything and then their decade-old rivalry will be settled by the movie gods, with one winner and one loser.

Vikander really is the perfect choice and the action looks nice. I'm just worried that the story is gonna lack depth, and become uninteresting fast.

It's a pretty generic trailer.

Seeing the archaeology parts in this trailer reminded me of a similar movie I watched recently, called As Above, So Below (2014).

Check it out if you are looking for a similar film (archeology-themed + female-lead) to watch while you wait for this one to come out.

Anyway, I decided to watch it despite the negative reviews, and it was...surprisingly watchable.

I know that's not exactly high praise for a film, but I'm trying not to oversell it; go in with low expectations, and it's a fun watch.

It helped that I found this article after watching the film https://occasionallyisawbriefglimpses.b ... below.html, which retroactively added depth to the film and made it better for me.

Looks just as terrible as the first trailer, hard pass for me.
