Having 30% of the film being flashbacks didn’t help
The flashbacks would have been ok if most of the actors looked similar to when those flashbacks happened. I tried the whole 'just don't pay attention to how they look but focus on the context' thing and some of it took me out of each of those scenes.

If you want to watch an actual good movie based on a great tv show, HBO has a Deadwood movie I've heard good things about?

It was ok. Waited too long and the payoff was a letdown when it finally came out.

For El Camino to justify its existence, it needed to equal, or surpass, the possibilities for Jesse you have imagined over the last 6 years. It doesn't. It restricts them to well executed thrills and fan service. Well paced, well shot, well acted, but "good" is not good enough.

I agree. I was never the biggest Breaking Bad fan but besides that, this wasn't captivating enough on it's own.
