I think Camp is the more talented of the two though. Whigham gets either typecast too much or he has to flex his acting muscles some more.

“The script was great. We rewrote the whole thing while we were shooting it,” Beetz said. “Literally, we would go into Todd’s trailer and write the scene for the night and then do it. During hair and makeup we’d memorize those lines and then do them and then we’d reshoot that three weeks later.”
“We had to do everything then because Joaquin had lost so much weight that we couldn’t do reshoots later on so we were figuring it out,” Beetz said. “But Todd’s quick at getting stuff done so we always had extra time.”

I hope this means that they changed the lines a bit and not like the overall plot and themes of the film....
pls let this be the case.

Don't forget Mission Impossible Fallout's script changed a lot during production if not was made up on the spot, same with Rogue Nation

it's not uncommon to do. judging from the the blurb it seems to just be the process they've chosen. rewrites are only gross when mandated by studios
