Well, to me and I couldn't find anything heroic about it. I lost my sympathy with the main character right there.
Also the villains were so simple and cartoonish, they were just trying to do bad things, That's all. It's not a flaw though. You can have those kind of characters in your film because there are similar people like them in the real life, but it made it less interesting for me.
Saying all that I still think there are a lot of good elements in there too and my rating for the film would be like this:

Personal Interest's Rate: 7.6/10

There are no real villains in the film, and that ties into the ploughing - everyone in the film essentially does what they think is right. The distinction is chiefly between those who lie and those who persist with the truth.
