I know, Dunkirk is number 3? I should be probably be shot and thrown out of a plane. I knew 2049 would be good, but I did not think it would be that good. For all the talk of horrendous imagery in Mother, I thought it was tastefully done. I found it to be a beautiful, albeit dismal film that unabashedly paints a stark image of humanity. But I can understand why some would want to look away. Dunkirk was phenomenal, but 2049 and Mother affected me more personally story wise.

2017 was full of surprises. Get Out was a tremendous surprise. I did not expect to like Personal Shopper as much as I did. RAW was shocking and I'm still not over how good Logan was.

1. 2049
2. Mother!
3. Dunkirk
4. Get Out
5. A Ghost Story
6. Personal Shopper
7. RAW
8. Logan
9. Okja
10. John Wick 2

Honorable Mentions:
Big Sick
Baby Driver
Wonder Woman

Unreleased films that will possibly make the list:
Phantom Thread
Shape of Water
The Florida Project
MUTE

Released Films I missed but probably would have enjoyed:
Wind River
The Beguiled
It Comes at Night

TLJ doesn't even deserve the 8th spot? :blank:

I cannot justify having it on my list.

A film that contains this much prequel level of stupidity and nonsense doesn't belong on my list.

A fascinating film nonetheless.

Will be seeing much more films soon. TLJ may rise up too depending on the more I think on it (as well as how those other films rank). Not sure yet. TLJ and Get Out are very similar for me in rank atm.

I was under the impression you didn't like it. Guess I've only seen your negative thoughts and not the positive.

I liked it. I even loved a good bit about it. I just had serious issues with it. That's what i'm trying to talk about and discuss in the thread. But when you bring up something like that around the likes of a select few of the posters here, they rip you to shreds.
