It came to my theater in February for me. So I'm guessing it didn't get that wide release? Thank you for the clarification.

Yeah, I believe limited December. Which I would still say is classified as an award season release.

I enjoyed her performance in Hostiles quite a bit as well.
She was amazing in Hostiles. That film was pretty damn good. I think if it came out during Oscar season it would have been seen by more people.
Hostiles is pretty damn great

This was nice, but I'm not sure I was enticed the way Bergman wanted me to be.

A Serious Man

This was one of my favorites I've seen from the Coens.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

The best Thanksgiving movie and one of Hughes' best.

Just rewatched this the other day, it certainly holds up, still hilarious, top 3 Hughes for sure. The scene on the highway at night is pretty hysterical.

The Red Shoes (Dir. Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger)

the centerpiece dance of this film is one of the most astounding stretches of cinema i've ever watched

the cinematography and use of technicolor is, as always, gorgeous

and what is it with Powell/Pressburger and women jumping from high heights lol

Holy shit. And I mean that in the best way possible. I loved it. It was my first time watching it and I'm already looking forward to rewatching it.
