Hollywood needs brands. For men, or women. The problem is, there are not enough potentially moneymaker source materials featuring female lead characters. So I vote yes for gender swap.£

I don't oppose these films, but this kinda bothers me. It's as if remakes of male oriented films are as good as we're going to get. And then people either pat themselves on their shoulders for being soooo progressive and others hate on us even more because these damn women are "forcing" themselves into something that wasn't broke and didn't fixing in the first place.

But Virgo's right, probably not enough projects that have a big brand that women could carry on their shoulders and make enough money..
