Anything PTA decides to make should make you exited.

Throw Day-Lewis into the mix and it should make you squeal.
Not after Inherent Vice

I love fashion flicks
This is probably going to be a criticism of the fashion industry.

I was once like you. I went out of the cinema feeling disappointed and confused. I thought the film was pointless. But as PTA has shown us with his last two films, repeated viewings of his work are mandatory. Step into the light. Inherent Vice is an impeccable work of art.

it IS interesting that this is his setting of choice after his last two films involved cults. given, they weren't the focus of either film

This is what's so great about PTA's filmogrophy, we know next to nothing about the movie yet we can use his past films to try to get an early understanding of this one.

Maybe it is a work of art... but it wasn't enjoyable in the least* so no repeat viewing for me.

*Maybe except for this scene ;)

Inherent Vice is his best movie. I think the argument can be made that he gets better with each film.
