Daisy Ridley is reteaming with her Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, who will produce the fantasy thriller Kolma.

Ridley is in talks to star in the Paramount film, while The Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller is in talks to helm.

The pic is based on the 2003 Israeli TV movie All I've Got (Kol Ma She'Yesh Li). It follows a 22-year-old woman who is in a terrible car accident that kills her boyfriend. Then, decades later, when the woman dies, she's given the choice of returning to the day of the accident to live again as a 22-year-old or being reunited with her love.

Abrams is producing the new film along with Ram Bergman, David Lonner and Sherryl Clark. Megan Holley (Sunshine Cleaning) wrote the script.

Ridley was a relative unknown until she booked the lead role of Rey in Abrams' Star Wars reboot. She currently is shooting Episode VIII, directed by Rian Johnson. Kolma is the first project Ridley has signed on to star in since landing the Star Wars gig. The actress is repped by CAA and Sloane, Offer.

Heller’s 2015 film Diary of a Teenage Girl was a breakout hit when it premiered at Sundance to strong reviews. She is repped by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham.
