Looks like Octopath is supposed to be pretty darn good. The Switch has needed another good game it has been a little while (Wii U ports are fine but this is something new).

It's great from what I've played so far (been distracted by trying to Platinum Persona 5), although one core complaint that people have been bringing up and I do agree with is that the player characters have zero interaction outside of combat and their stories are very disjointed from one another. Like I'm not asking for an overarching plot but there's a strong disconnect when the characters don't really have a reason for travelling together nor capitalise on any potential dynamics. And then the cutscenes often act as if the protagonist of whatever chapter you're doing are completely alone, with no party. Feels like a huge missed opportunity, especially since often the highlight of a good story-driven RPG game with a party is the relationships between the characters.

Looks like exactly the kind of game we were promised originally.

And yet, I still don't get why space is green or yellow

It would be nice if most gaming websites re-reviewed this.

Solid trailer for Next. Expected a bit more but I guess they’re honest this time at least. Played vanilla for around 40 hours, not sure if this brings me back, maybe.
