Honestly, I wouldn't even put those two in the same category. JL is terrible on so many more levels than SS, even if they're both shit.

Agreed. JL is not even a film, SS is a shitty one. Aquaman battles for... almost-as-good as WW, that's the best it can do imo. But Wan is the key here, we'll see... not trusting anyone until I see it with my own eyes in 16 days. 🕷️

A lot of these critics that are responding positively to Aquaman are also people who did not like JL, BvS or SS. I don't usually give much cred to early social media reactions, but I think I'm making an exception to these ones.

I have faith in Wan, he's too good a filmmaker to deliver something plain bad. So far, it looks like he went all-in. I also think this might be the first DCEU film that manages to get a nomination for Best VFX.

He's got the gills to pay the bills, y'all. DC's AQUAMAN dove into China with a record-breaking $24.6M on Friday--the highest debut of all time for a WB film. It's also the biggest December opening day ever in the Middle Kingdom.
