idk I've never read the book that Jaws is based on, but a simple adventure story about hunting a killer shark during the peak summer months in a beach town seems like it could make for a better movie than just a string of pop culture references.

Also, I haven't read ready player one either so feel free to disregard my opinion on it, but I did read excerpts that were posted in this thread and I found them laughably bad.

but it's spielberg and he's in an interesting phase of his career rn so I'll check it out regardless of what I think about the trailers.

This was rather delightful. Spielberg really makes this work, even with all the references and Easter eggs aplenty. Ben Men ham tho
