Honourable mentions: I just realised there are a whole bunch but that's too much to get into, the above three will suffice (but do know Pixar is a big deal for me).

A.I. is the one that immediately comes to mind at first. But truth be told no film I can put my fingers on that I find to have a more powerful emotional core than the LotR films. And others mentioned Hugo and The Road, yeah those two as well.

I have to add that Infinite being a video game, can challenge almost all of the best film experiences I ever had in terms of emotional quality.

Edit: And yeah Miyazaki films, almost all of them.£
