@Blair, I think Pitt has a major input here, being a producer and of course major star draw. Not worried about the director that left or the script, if they're truly deep into figuring this deal out something special will come out. Is there even a sequel book to WWZ?

As long as the real book doesn't get a proper adaptation, I'll keep saying this is trash, no matter how good the movie may or may not be. It just can't get better than the book

Can't muster any excitement for this, for the time being. I'd prefer if he did the Strangers on a Train remake with Affleck and Flynn. Hopefully casting+footage will bring me on board.
