Her (2013)
The Kaufman-Jonze project is a political satire about a gathering of world leaders who seek to address issues like the rising price of oil and what wars ought to be waged in the future. It is produced by Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures.

This movie - I'm referring to the pictures of Phoenix posted by David8 - is a comedy about a man who falls in love with the "computer voice" of his mobile phone. And Spike Jonze write the screenplay by himself. Also produced by Annapurna Pictures.

So, the title of the thread should be renamed as "Untitled Spike Jonze Project".

According to The Film Stage that they have heard from their sources, the film will be called simply Her.
In the not so distant future, Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix), a lonely writer purchases a newly developed operating system designed to meet the user’s every needs. To Theodore’s surprise, a romantic relationship develops between him and his operating system. This unconventional love story blends science fiction and romance in a sweet tale that explores the nature of love and the ways that technology isolates and connects us all.

Looking forward to this immensely. The last collaboration Jonze/Kaufman had (Adaptation.) was ~okay. I'm hoping this one goes more in the direction similar to the style in BJM.

Kaufman has got nothing to do with this film. The thread title should be changed.thezodiacspeaking wrote:Looking forward to this immensely. The last collaboration Jonze/Kaufman had (Adaptation.) was ~okay. I'm hoping this one goes more in the direction similar to the style in BJM.

what? She's not in the movie. The other girls are Olivia Wilde, Rooney Mara and Samantha Morton.Dream-Xtractor wrote:Thought we had a thread for this? Anyways;

Also, is WB distributing? I thought is was going to be Sony since they co-financied the movie with Annapurna (and Annapurna has worked with Sony in ZDT, Am. Hustle and Foxcatcher)
But really, Adaptation is a masterpiece, so I can't wait to see this :tooexcited:
