I'm sure NPH is a lovely human being but my word he was an atrocious host. Yeah he may have said a couple funny stuff but for the most part it was a trainwreck. Winners aside, it was a tedious show overall.

Nice to see an experimental, subversive film like Birdman get the win. Shows The Academy is not just a bunch of old-hats who always go with the safe choice. I was surprised to see that since Birdman won BP, Linklater wasn't given Best Director, but whatever...

I prefer Birdman but even I would guess that Boyhood will be the one still talked about in 20 years time. Or talked about more.
