Spectre is a bad Roger Moore movie trying so god damn hard to be the most arty, self-serious James Bond movie ever made. If that works for you go for it, but the opposition is so misjudged and self defeating I sit there questioning how anyone thought it was filmable.

QOS might be forgettable but but it at least borders on some kind of cohesion. Raw, fast and quick with at least a couple solid scenes. I'll take that any day.

Vader, what do you think of Boyle as a directing choice for Bond?

Done with this Bond. I want Nolan on board, with Hardy or Fassbender as Bond, Caine as Q and Oldman as the villain. That's the movie I'm waiting for.
Bale would be the perfect Bond for Nolan. But that would be too on the nose when compared to Batman. Plus, I really don't want Nolan doing Bond any time soon. More original sci-fi and a horror, please.

I always thought Quantum of Solace was decent. I like the story a lot more than Skyfall but its execution (the plane scene alone really) dragged it beneath Skyfall overall. Neither are remotely close to Casino Royale. Spectre was really lame, its one of the last Bond films I'd want to rewatch at this point.

Benjamin Netanyahu would make a great Blofeld. He's not far off from the role with his real life villainy and he always reminded me of the On Her Majesty's Secret Service iteration of the character, which is by far the best version. Natalie Portman could be the Bond girl who, like with her real life refusal to share a stage with Netanyahu, is disillusioned with her country's current regime. We can keep Craig, he's great.

Casino Royale and QOS = perfect Bond films, in my opinion. Spectre has some interesting moments, but the reason it's not the perfect Bond film or film it's because they brought an already tired Mendes back, who did it for the sake of it. But it's not the worst film.

As for Dafox's previous comment, that was funny, I think in an unfortunate way. :D

Casino Royale is easily one of the best Bond films ever made, if not the best. It's just perfect. I hope Boyle can reach those heights with his entry. Or at least Skyfall level. Quantum of Solace is an ok action film imo, but not a very good Bond film. I have a soft spot for Spectre but dammit it has quite some flaws.
I hope Craig can go out with a bang, I think the fact that Bond is now a more layered character is not only due to the writing (in the good films) but just as much thanks to Craig.

I just hope this is a singular Bond entry. One of the many reasons why I hated SPECTRE was how it attempted to make everything connected and treat the Bond franchise like the MCU, and in turn ruining the self-contained stakes of Casino Royale and Skyfall. Bond is not Marvel. I still think it would have been soooooo much better if Mr White turned out to be Blofeld instead of Bond's half brother.

Boyle does not strike me as somebody who wants to establish a cinematic playground. Hell, he once said that Bond was not something he was interested in directing because they're such huge films and he likes to work with a modest budget. I genuinely believe Boyle is aiming for something much more intimate in character but moderately scaled in terms of spectacle.
Also, Iggy Pop for the theme song.
