Blade Runner (1982)
Probably my no. 1 movie of all time. There are so many reasons why, from it's incredible and visceral score to the sublime art direction. It's a work of art. It raises so many questions and ideas. Rutger Hauer's performance is incredible and probably the best in the movie. Also, this movie is a big ...

Re: DiCaprio/Nolan
Indeed. I'm excited, I mean I don't mind Ellen Page but I know better actresses than her. It'll be interesting to see what character she would portray if she were to join. Well news is slowly coming out but as usual Nolan is tight-lipped, it'll be interesting to see what direction he takes, especial...

Good work on the site/forum guys
I've been waiting for a good Nolan website and forum. He's one of my favourite directors and good to see such a nicely designed website about him and a place to talk about his work. I look forward to his next work on Inception and any other projects he works on & look forward to talking about it wit...

I must be the only one who prefers this to TDK
Pretty much everyone I know thinks it's the better effort but to me, I think Batman Begins is the better of the two. The only three things that I feel are better in the sequel are the improvements on the filming and editing of the action sequences, the score and the villain (Joker over Ras al Ghul, ...

Indeed! Precisely why I love Nolan's work so much, he has the perfect blend to me.AlexHaas wrote:I'd have to say that my tastes in movies falls very close to yours. It looks like everything is turning out great for the both of us.

Re: The Prisoner
I saw this when I was younger, I can't remember much but I remember it being pretty surreal. The story sounds intriguing enough and it's penned by the people who wrote Blade Runner and Twelve Monkeys, two of my favourite sci-fi movies. There's a TV adaptation right now as previously stated so I can'...

I'd like to see him work with Hans Zimmer again, he's delivered some really good scores.

Re: What if David composed the scores to Batman Begins and TDK?
I think it would have been better. I liked TDK's score (the Joker's theme is brilliant) but I wasn't a fan of Batman Begins' score.

Re: Scoring Inception?
I really hope he does. His first two scores are just amazing (Memento & Following) but for some reason I wasn't that impressed with his work on The Prestige. His style would suit sci-fi though and I hope he scores it.

Re: Director of Photography for Inception
Yeah, his work on Nolan's last three movies have been impeccable. It'll be interesting to see what he does for Inception, considering it's contemperary sci-fi.
