Re: Joker (2019)
Focusing on his mental illness is what makes this project interesting and exciting. It looks like the polar opposite of the dumb villainous origins we’re now getting with Venom and probably Morbius.

Re: Joker (2019)
Todd Phillips is good. Joaquin Phoenix is dope. Trailer was great. Can’t complain about anything.
“It’s exactly what I’d expect a Joaquin Phoenix Joker..” umm and it’s still more unique than anything out there in the genre.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (2019)
I do see what he’s saying. And although I like a few movies in the MCU, the end of those films usually frustrate me because they can never pull the trigger on the idea of ‘consequences’. The first time I felt they were bringing it into their universe was Winter Soldier and then Civil War. But there’...

Re: Dune (2020)
The only one that makes sense to me is Viola Davis. Everyone else is blurry AF. Plus, she’s worked with Denis before.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) DEUX YOU BLEED?
He’s a man child and sounds bitter that people know the character more than he does lol. If he was trying to make a point by having his heroes act more extreme than ever, to paint a picture that no human being is innocent...well, he went overboard to the point where they simply weren’t likeable anym...

Re: Us (2019)
And for the record, I just want to apologize if I made anyone in the past feel like my opinion mattered more than theirs. I’m sure I did. Sorry about that. I was probably a pain in the ass. I don’t chime in much these days, but I said something in this thread because I really enjoyed this movie (mor...

Re: Us (2019)
Vader, I do agree that it’s the least interesting aspect of a film. But I do think you sometimes shut people down when they want to discuss plot holes. I think Nolan’s films are full of exposition and it’s clear to me that Chris makes a point to throw ‘plot’ right up front. The rules of his mytholog...

Re: Us (2019)
It seems to me that if Vader likes something and people want to understand or critique the logic of a film (especially if the film puts so much into the mythology it’s creating)...he turns to the “you’re watching movies the wrong way. Who cares about plot logic man, that’s the least interesting thin...
