Official belief on this movie, after 3rd IMAX viewing.

I forgot to mention, the 2nd act. When cutting is needed, it always will focus on the 2nd act, and that's the very act where passage of time becomes very weak in how it's viscerally portrayed, giving an absurd sense that Bruce does some pushups and situps and we're good. I just can't help but wonder...

It is, the rumors of them being upset with his original near 4 hours cut seem to fit in so many ways now, gives a little where there's smoke there's fire sense to it all.

IMAX is awesome but it would really be a shame if it was the cause for a trimmed movie. Many directors that Nolan admires have released different cuts of their movies(Malick,Scott,Fritz Lang) so it's not completely out of the question, though unlikely Being that the David Lean films Nolan was inspir...

I know it's been talked about, but there's a brilliant 3 hour and 30 minute film out there, and the cut the shit out of it. I love this movie btw, I think it's the most flawed of the trilogy but more satisfying then begins, so tied for 2nd overall. But I've recently watched Nolan's last 4 films (bes...

While I'm sure the IMAX limitations had a major role in what was or wasn't cut, Inception cut loads of shots far too quickly. Almost every establishing shot is blink and you'll miss it. Nothing breathes really, like The Dark Knight. -Vader The final 20 minutes (of Inception) very much breathed, I w...

Bruce Wayne's Death Wish

The original poster echoes my thoughts. I love that close-up of Batman in the cock-pit, it's not the face of a man accepting death, it's the face of a man realizing he don't want to die. Love it. It's a look of a man saying goodbye to gotham as/and Bruce Wayne, things that have meant so much and ye...

My honest, instinctual feel for how much longer the Gordon in hospital scene was written is 2-3 times as long. So many scenes that didn't get the time they should I feel like, it's throughout the movie, each scene is cut to it's what does the movie literally make no sense without core. Yeah that is...

Bruce Wayne's Death Wish

Here's a thought, I'm interested to hear what other people think about... Bruce's death wish. Sounds silly, hear me out then decide. At the start of the film we see Bruce as a shell of his former self. Alfred tells him he hasn't moved on, he's just waiting for things to get bad again. When Bruce fi...

I found the part when Bruce visits the doctor and then goes skiing down to Gordon's hospital room very lousy. The way it immediately transitions to Gordon's "we were in this together". My honest, instinctual feel for how much longer the Gordon in hospital scene was written is 2-3 times as long. So ...

Scenes that didn't make the film - Spoilers

Most of these aren't scenes that didn't make the film, they're just edges of scenes that are in the film but got cut down, for what it's worth.
