Elysium (2013)

Gravity is a far more interesting prospect, I'd say. But then I didn't think District 9 was all that crash hot.

[SPOILERS] TDKR Plot Speculation

I think there was a mention that we wouldn't see him in the suit without the cowl. Although that might have been in reference to TDK. (which would have been false).

If he does take the mask off, the film needs a Chris Walken cameo with "Bruce Wayne? Why are you dressed up like Batman?"

I'm confused why any fan would want to see him die. What does that accomplish?
Because it can mean that the idea transcends the man. Like Viva Zapata!. The legend of him has more influence than he as an individual ever could.

[SPOILERS] The Final Shot - Speculation

...with some sort of voice over? One thing I do NOT want to hear is a voice-over. I know we had Gordon's soliloquy at the end of TDK but usually vo's come across as stilted to me. It is silent. :eh:

It's not. Sound out the letter J. It's composed of two other sounds: D and G. You can verify this in the dictionary for any word beginning with "J."
The joke is that you don't pronounce the D. Hence it is silent.

Controversial opinions about movies

I do often bristle reactively to criticisms of Williams' Star Wars work. Even the Attack of the Clones score ("Across the Stars" is the only good thing about that film). That too is one that is unfortunately butchered by tracked in music where there should and could be original compositions. Ah, we...

Bill Pope is fantastic, I want to see him do some more earthbound stuff again though, like Bound . "Peter Andrews" is very, very interesting, not unlike his director. Love his use of master shots in Che: Part One and The Girlfriend Experience . Can also do some pretty neat pastiche work like The Inf...

Music related spoiler?
New version of Moby's Extreme Ways will be on the end credits.
Good news.

Hope that JNH does a riff on Powell's themes as well.
