Re: DiCaprio/Nolan

To be honest, I haven't seen that many of Leo's recent films. But somehow, after seeing trailer 2, I'm already starting to think I might really like him in this film.

Re: The Plot to Inception

I don't really the point in waiting until trailer 3 to find out what the story is about. As is the case with most films, the synopsis is given to you before you see the last trailer. I knew about this plot before trailer 2, and it didn't really bother me.

Re: Lost Boys

Unfortunately, I was watching Lethal Weapon at the same time as watching this, so I wasn't quite following the plot. But I have seen the Truman Show and read Lord of the Flies, so I thought I knew what was going on. In particular, I thought that the hunting scene was well filmed, and well colorized....

Re: Coming Soon: My Latest Short Film

Besides the Radiohead music what makes it seem like Nolan was a inspiration? Well, I thought that the way the man survives but his wife dies was a bit like Memento, and it almost spurs a sense of guilt that you often get in his films. I also thought that the scene with the narration as the notes ar...

Re: Best Dialogue Writer?

Steve Coogan on his writing for Alan Partridge. You have to understand the humor, and if you don't, you'll just think of it as complete rubbish, but the man is a real genius.

Re: Top 100 Films of the Decade

I've read a lot of these lists, and none of them have been that good, in my opinion. This one, however, tops them all. There were plenty of different genres here, and yes, the Nolan ones deserve to be there. I was actually quite pleased to see Minority Report on there, but I was quite shocked at the...

Untitled Film Pilot

This is just a random film me and my brother made in about 15 minutes. It ISN'T an actual film, so it does NOT have a beginning, middle and end. It's just a random scene made soley as an experiment. It ain't no masterpiece either.

Good so far. I liked the drama aspect, and I can see how you've picked up tips from Nolan.

Re: The Call (My first short horror film)

I managed to by a HD camera for $150-200. Admittedly, it's not perfect, but the best you can get for it's price, probably. Anyway, I liked the film. Somehow I thought that the first bits in the basement were a bit like Memento (close ups, blood on the wall, similar cuts), and they were the best scen...

Re: How you became a Nolan fan

It was after I saw The Dark Knight that I became a fan. I think I became particularly drawn to the director, as I was amazed to find on IMDb that he hadn't made a single film below 7.2, so I decided to watch them all. He's got me into the whole genre of psychological thriller as well.
