My father didn't like the episode where Holmes tries to find M. He stopped watching this episode when Holmes hit M with the baton. He says it's more about revenge then detective work.

Since it's his first movie, I'd say good/solid director (but I'm hoping brilliant or great). After all, he had (has) a great mentor. I would say solid for now, but apart from his own talent, as this is his first feature, it'll ultimately depend on how much attention did he pay to his teacher. :lol:...
