Re: Predict the MVP of the cast
Hard to say since all of them are so great. But if I have to pick a single one of them, Rylance for the older cast, and Tom GC for the newcomers. (Was impressed with Harry too, though) And kinda sad there are no mentions of Murphy in this thread so far. :blank: I guess he was good but not enough to...

Re: Predict the MVP of the cast
You have littered more than enough threads with negativity. If you can't find an MVP in this film then you obviously weren't watching closely enough.Lord Shade wrote:There is no MVP in this picture at all.
For me, Branagh or Rylance- older cast
Styles for the younger cast

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)
This movie is divisive among fans.I think this will age better than the dark knight rises and interstellar. I havent really seen and divisiveness yet. Everyone in our screening loved it, my buddies who arent film people loved it, twitter is loving it. I was listening for reactions in my theater, to...

Re: Harry Styles joins the cast of 'Dunkirk'
His role was pretty insignificant for the most part, but he did a good job with what he had. Insignificant? Hm, I have to disagree strongly with that. His character pushed forward conflict and represented a few themes, i.e. survival not being fair and then the shame over what he had done/not succee...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread
Not laser, but in my 70mm IMAX film cinema (King of Prussia) I believe I understood most of the dialogue. The main line I did not understand was Alex's (last?) line on the train because the music was too loud over his voice there. Ugh yes! I asked my husband what he said but he didn't know either. ...

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)
Loved it, more thoughts later. However, this was one of the worst theatrical presentations of my life. The 15/70 was glorious, but the sound was so bad it took me out of the movie almost the entire time. The sound in the theater (Indianapolis, drove 3.5 hours to get here) was the worst I've heard i...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread
Has anyone seen it in laser and 70mm already? As I posted in the review thread, I had trouble hearing some of the dialogue in 70mm and wonder if the sound quality is improved in laser?

Re: Dunkirk General Information/Discussion
Now I understand that the real advantage from watching it on a press-screening was not having any 1D-fans around moaning during Harry's appearances. All the people I know who watched it on the public screenings are complaining about it now. Most unlucky people in the world. I asked all my friends t...
