We know Nolan was inspired by Michael Mann when shooting TDK but has he gone a little too far with his tribute to Michael Mann by intentionally having bad audio mixing in The Dark Knight Rises.

Some of the dialogue by Gordon (teaser) and Bane (prologue) are incredibly hard to hear.
