Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

Liked Parasite, great first half but do think it drops a little bit around the "birthday" scenes. Wanted OUATIH to win, but glad Mendes and 1917 didn't, sorry I'm petty.

Re: 2019-2020 Awards Season

Yea, I think a lot of Oscar voters don't want to vote for big vfx blockbuster, especially from the Disney Machine. But the fx is still really good from Avengers for the most part.

Re: Birds of Prey (2020)

Wonder Woman is the one of the most well-know Comic Book characters of all-time with a popular tv shows from the 70's.

Captain Marvel had the strong buzz of Endgame to help built hype for it.

Harley Quinn isn't that well known of a character with casual moviegoers.

Re: Birds of Prey (2020)

I think WB overestimated the appeal of Harley Quinn, she has a passionate fan base but is still a niche character. Also, this shouldn't of been rated "R"

Is there a law that we are required to have some kind of version of a live action Peter Pan every 10 years or so??

Re: Dunkirk General Information/Discussion

1917 benefits from being released later in the year, so there wasn't time for people to "tear it" down like others did with Dunkirk being released in July. Also, while many, like myself, loved the structure of Dunkirk with the three different time periods. Others were confused by it and it took them...

Re: The Rhythm Section (2020)

I thought this looked pretty good from the trailer. May still check it out, but will have to hurry. It had the worse opening weekend ever for a movie released in over 3,000 screens at 2.7 million. Ouch!
