Re: What Was the Last Episode of TV You Watched

Les Revenants: Such a letdown. Another "mystery" where characters withhold information from one another, and always act irrationally.

Re: HBO's Succession

Seems like this has flown under the radar. Crazy indeed. Even worse was how some were already dismissive of it from the synopsis alone, or the critics who were meh on it based on the early episodes but changed their tune by midseason. For me personally, I can't remember the last time I saw a series...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

Paddington 2: I've been sleeping on this one for some time despite its excellent reviews mainly because the first one just didn't work for me. This was much better due to Hugh Grant's drollish turn as the villain, and a master of disguise, as well as increasingly complex comic routines. Paddington t...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

Late to the party but I just saw Infinity War which I think is a really great movie, and that's coming from someone who has only liked two or three Marvel movies before this. The action and humor are plentiful of course but for the first time, for me at least, Marvel has found a way to make them wor...

Is Lean on Pete 2017 or 2018
It really depends on domestic release date. I currently have it in my 2018 top ten.

Late Spielberg >>>>>

Schindler's List aside, I'd put Lincoln, Bridge Of Spies, and The Post above everything else he has done.

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season

Happy for Lee Smith. Still can't believe he didn't get nominated for Inception.

The most baffling thing for me about Del Toro's win is that all some people are saying is that he's a nice guy and he deserves it.

There's an incredibly good chance I won't see a single film in 2018.

Cinema is dead.
LOL don't be silly. You can avoid the awards season if you want but to stop watching movies altogether? I mean the Oscars aren't the be-all and end-all of cinema.
