yeah it didnt make much sense...she was running for a good 2 minutes, and not away from the trajectory of the falling space ship.....and it's even worse if, like prince suggested, she is an android...how the hell couldnt she figure out that she had to run perpendicular to the alignment of the ship?...

Lambert froze in fear and terror. Its quite normal. Vicker's poorly timed death is not.
