I'm interested to see the final version, for sure.

Re: SPECTRE (2015)

You posted some very good summary of the movies I've listed. Why? I don't know. You take a section of those films and say this is what they do, therefore I must be incorrect which is disingenuous and you know it. I already pointed out where in the films they meet the criterion you wanted specified. ...

Re: SPECTRE (2015)

Which are the Bond films with major Oedipal and Arthurian overtones to its relationship between the principal characters? Which are the Bond films that give Bond himself an actual arc that require him to go back to who he essentially is as a character , and challenges his relevance in the world tod...

Re: Ex Machina (2015)

I saw this movie about a year ago at a early screening and really did not like it. It's not bad in the sense that it's done badly but it's a very cliche script. Themes we've seen a million times and the ending was 7 minutes too long. It has a good ending in there but sacrifices itself to baby feed t...

Not really. It's as thematically rich as a Bond film could probably be.

Re: James Bond Discussion Thread

Hardy's a much better actor than Elba on given form. Like... not even any contest. I mean, what have you seen him in? It's Armand... he's probably seen every movie Elba's ever been in. Which would make his statement even more puzzling. But Factor in Elba has not had the career Hardy has. The man ha...

Re: SPECTRE (2015)

Male Adele sings the title... what a Surprise Isn't Mendes so generic. Fuckin Nolan wannabe. Don't know if this is sarcasm. I was a big fan of Skyfall until I re-watched it a couple of times. Beautiful film but the script is almost as bare as it can get. I wasn't totally pleased to see Mendes come ...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

The name "Star Wars" sort of assures it'll do massively well. But I agree. I'm not ready to say it's a shoe in to stop Titanic or Avatar overall.

The hype machine needs to start pumping and it has to take advantage of those inflated Box office prices.

Re: Jurassic World (2015)

I just don't think the amount of praise it's getting is..deserved. It's a fun movie. Honestly something like Mad Max should be getting the attention JW is getting. I'll be short since you guys seem to be all over the place... It's not getting awfully lot of praise, it's just doing massively good bu...
