Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season
Re-watching The Shape Of Water one thing was apparent. Why on earth was Octavia Spencer Oscar nominated for a supporting role ? More like "Why on earth did Michael Stuhlbarg not sweep all the awards for that performance ?" For me The Shape of Water is a deserved winner. For directing, either Nolan o...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread
People are so extra. We spend the entire year prepping ourselves "the oscars are nothing!!" just in case, but in the end some still end up losing their shit. I'd rather have a rich and decades long filmography from Nolan that would cement his status as one of the legendary filmmakers of the century...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread
There's an incredibly good chance I won't see a single film in 2018. Cinema is dead. LOL don't be silly. You can avoid the awards season if you want but to stop watching movies altogether? I mean the Oscars aren't the be-all and end-all of cinema. People are so extra. We spend the entire year prepp...

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season
I think he should stop making blockbuster to focus on smaller, more subtle and deep projects to earn an Oscar, then he can continued with blockbusters. I hope he never stops doing what he want just so that he can earn himself an Oscar. History tells us that a lot of the greatest filmmakers of all t...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread
In fact, I just rewatch some ceremonies that he won and he did the exactly same face
But not everyone watched him when he's winning, so it's easy to misplace his face with the losing face lol.

Yes, Nolan's films are mostly blockbuster. I think he should stop making blockbuster to focus on smaller, more subtle and deep projects so that he can be more likely to get an Oscar, then he can continued with blockbusters. His career has been extremely like Steven Spielberg's. Spielberg be came fam...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread
Also his smug 'losing face' isn't doing him favors. He undoubtely didnt mean it, but it looked so disrespectful LOL That wasn't his loosing face. He always looks like that. Doubt anyone will look at that footage and call him a cold person. Not everyone is filled with emotions. That's why I said it'...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread
It's easy to see that no one gives a fuck about Nolan, and when his name's brought up, he received the coldest reception. That's just sad. I think one of the reason is that at the outside, he isnt very likable. It's easy to misunderstand his non-emotion face with being snobbish, rude and arrogant (I...
