Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

Q: Which you shot on film, something you remain a huge proponent of. Even the effects here are mostly practical effects - those are real planes we see in the air, not something someone made on a piece of software. CN: Well, I love film, and I think in today's world people rarely get to see its true ...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

Mark my words: The 70mm projections (non IMAX) will be a huge disappointment: I challenge everyone who will see the movie in 70mm to rewatch in Dolby Cinema, IMAX laser or a good Sony R515DS (white) screen and then report your sincere opinion about the quality of both image and sound ;) About the a...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

You used either IMAX or 70mm for Dunkirk? The entire film is large-format photography. 70 percent of it is 15 perf 65mm IMAX photography. The other 30 percent is 5 perf 65mm, as used by Quentin in Hateful Eight or David Lean in Lawrence of Arabia. The entire film has been post-produced in the photo...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

I can confirm you don't know what you're speaking of. Virtually everyone agrees 35mm is equivalent 6K or 4K. Nolan himself says it's like 6K. Some shoddy projection isn't going to lower the resolution to 1K or 2K. I respect Your opinion, but I continue to strongly disagree with You, and it will be ...
